It's always so clear that you've never played this game.

Pretty much.

i'm more upset for werth taking strike 3 down the middle over missing that catch.  he made great effort on it, if he catches it, it's a web gem (or at least shown on MLB Network ... Baseball tonight would show pedroia fielding a routine grounder over that).  JZ shouldn't be throwing a meatball to Soriano.

He should have flown through the air, caught the ball, and then without touching the ground tagged out Byrd.

I was thinking more along the lines of "He should have just put himself in JZ's body and pitched to Soriano and struck him out on 3 straight sliders".

Two straight games, Werth's defense has directly cost us a run. He's had an all around pathetic season.

that's a pretty hard play. granted, there are harder plays, but it's excusable IMO.

werth has actually been a good fielder for us. his arm from RF has been great, and for example, he had a good catch yesterday at the track that people forget about. they just harp on the negatives.

get the bats moving.  this is ryan dempster who has been dreadful this year.

With Nix, Desmond and Ramos coming up, I don't hold out much hope.

No freaking way! That was a pretty good effort to even make that close. It's always so clear that you've never played this game.

he just wants his bernadina to play RF and bat cleanup.

You are completely wrong. You have to catch that ball. It hit his glove. Inexcusable.

I thought he was supposed to be a good outfielder? Bullcrap

It was a rope that was rapidly going to the ground. The only reason it even hit the glove and was close was because Werth read it well and was galloping full speed when he dove for it. You don't understand what happens to eye hand coordination when you're running full speed at a missile coming off a bat and you have to dive for the ball.

You're so dumb.  If you can't tell that Werth's a better OFer than Willingham or Morse you just don't understand the game.

Yes.  Even by his standards.

This offense is so broken, I don't know how it gets fixed...even next year.

Werth is still way better than Willingham or Morse in the outfield, but he's been pretty bad himself this year. He has a negative UZR/150 for the year.

You said "worse than Willingham and Morse."

You're wrong.

And you're an idiot.

Web gem lmao?! It would have been a good catch but one that a MLB outfielder should make.

If that was Bernadina you would have killed him

Layne Nix should not be playing. Put him on the DL already.

Nope, Werth will be enemy #1 by the time his stint in DC is over. freaking trash ass bum

I was talking about this failed part of your post.

Werth is worse than Willingham and Morse in the outfield.

Not only can they not get hits, they can't even have long at-bats/innings to stop the Cubs' momentum.
