Brandon Phillips is killing me.  Just put him on the 15-day DL already! :bang:

Anyone have a 2B to trade?  If so, take a look at my roster and see if there is a fit.

ESPN fantasy won't allow someone to have more than 20 players, 2 bench, and 2 DL players on their team.  So a 3 for 1 trade is really a 1 for 1 trade.  The sender loses 3 players, gets 1 in trade, and the recipient has to drop 2 of the 3 he gets. 8)

"I am now the master!"

The Chief has now truly embraced the world of Fantasy Baseball... today picking up free agent
Miami SP Carlos Zambrano, for his game tonight against the weak-hitting Washington Nationals
(That was standard practice in those 100-loss seasons.)

First game today, Friday April 20, 2012:
Reds (5-8, 2-5 away) vs Cubs    (3-10, 2-5 home) * 2:20 PM ET

I now have 3 players that can go on the DL but I can't put Berkman on the DL because I already have 2 of my pitchers on the DL.  God dammit fantasy baseball!

Are we only allowed two DL members at one time?

Apparently.  I have 2 pitchers on the DL and when I try to DL Berkman, it tells me I don't have permission to do it.

On ESPN, if you click on My Team and then Manage DL, you should be able to switch a new DL player for one already on the DL.  You always have to Save your DL moves. If you already have 2 on the DL, it doesn't really matter which one is on it, since you can have a maximum of 2 on DL, and any others are on your Bench or Active roster.

The player will remain on the DL until you move him back, even when his team has reinstated him.

Last year, ESPN restricted roster moves, if a player on DL had returned and you hadn't activated him.  But I noticed that, in 2012, someone else was able to grab a Free Agent without moving an active player off your DL list.  You couldn't do that last year.

I'm playing fantasy for the first time this year, doing rotisserie, must admit I'd prefer a head 2 head league.

I wish I'd looked for this thread earlier, I'd have liked to play with you guys.

Ah well there's always next year

If we identify a Quitter, we could email them and ask if they'll allow you to take over their team.  The sooner that happens, the fairer it is for everyone.

Capital Punishment has 3 active players on the DL, including one that's DL-60, and 2 bench players who could be active.  That's usually the sign.  I won 7-3-0, but he might have beaten or tied me last week, with a attention to those issues.

First game for today, Monday Apr 23 is 4:10 PM Giants at Mets, first of a double header.

Thanks, that'd be cool, but yes only if they aren't going to play, nothing worse than a quitter in your league

Shrug, why not.  I'm sick of watching Bell suck.  I realize it's probably a stupid move long-term, but this stuff isn't life and death

someone in my money league has already started the "pick up the guy pitching against the Nats" strategy each day.

I would have picked up Cahill yesterday but he didn't show up in the ESPN roster.

Hmmm don't know what to tell you, he is showing up on my team, in the search bar, and under players - all

Maybe a glitch?
