It is somewhat disturbing that he was rested yesterday.   He played Monday, rested Tuesday, played Wednesday and Thursday, rested Saturday.  Why did he need to rest again Sunday?

Fine, but Robinson does play left, and Werth needs rest more than Zimmerman.

I suspect sitting Werth before he got a hit would be looked at by some (likely including Werth) as an indictment of his performance. While fans likely want to sit him for that reason, there's a reason clubhouses love Dusty.

Perhaps the cold had something to do with it, since it is much harder to stay limber when it's cold out than when it's warm out. When you're not limber is when you get injured (or aggravate old injuries).
If sitting him on cold days means we have a greater chance of having him around come July, I am perfectly okay with that.
