People were dancing in my section. My wife was holding her head in her hands. Because I was one of them.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as "stadium cosmetics" but I think the switch to Chuck Brown's "Bustin' Loose" as the Get Ready To Play Ball song is fantastic and awesome, and I hope they keep it forever. Not only is it a super fun, super upbeat song, it's Chuck freakin' Brown, and it don't get much more DC than that.

Had a choice of Port City Porter or a Mad Fox oatmeal stout at one booth - nice.

They had little round stand up tables up in the Loft, useful.  Found Mitlen up there in the Loft, he had somehow escaped the oversight of the missus for a little while.  No sign of Blue.

Did run into Calsgr8 later during the rain delay in the upper concourse behind home plate.
I had a beer from Old Ox Brewery in Ashburn and also noticed they had ones from Port City like you mentioned also 3 Stars Brewery.

Goose Island IPAs were plentiful and although it isn't my favorite it is a fine offering to go along with the Flying Dog Snake IPA which is still available like last year.

There appeared to be a nice selection of beers from Elysian Brewing Company on tap at the porch but the lines were too long so I passed.

I wondered what was missing.    You're right, it does open a lot space and creates better flow.

By the middle of the 6th inning all of Club level was closing up. They ran out of food.

Agreed. I also like the Carlton song for the seventh inning stretch.

Carlton?   It was Tom Jones.

I roamed around the stadium after the delay.    I noticed a lot of spots closed up (all over).    I just figured they didn't wanna pay the workers.

I never escape the oversight of the missus.    She has eyes in the back of her head   ...   and radar.    Good to see ya TT.    I roamed the whole stadium throughout the game and didn't spot blue either.    I'll be hittin' a few games this summer.    I know you will as well.    We'll find him.

I did see spider and the other mitlen in their usual seats.    :)     BTW, I ran into Phil Wood on the 3rd concourse.    Was very approachable and seemed like a genuinely nice guy.    We didn't get into old time baseball.     :old:

Ran into Grant Paulsen and his producer (Brendan) on the way in, he stopped, shook my hand and chatted for a while. I was surprised he did any more than wave on the way by.

(Image removed from quote.)

I guess my question would be, "How do you dance to a Tom Jones song?"      :mg:        I DJ'd on and off for almost 50 years and never played a Tom Jones song at a dance/club.     :)

White people  ....   :smh:

(:))

Lots of great DJ memories of conversations with customers about what they think everyone else wants to dance to.    However, the musician in me believes you can dance to whatever moves you.

It's funnier I think in the Mars Attacks movie; plus you get Jim Brown.

Well, in this case, it was Bustin' Loose. I was tempted to dance to It's not Unusual, too, but I figured enough of the embarrassment for Mrs. GburgNatsFan.

I did notice them running out of the carving station beef and turkey.  But in fairness there were triple the number of people in the club than normal or who had tickets in the sections.  Love those Nats Plus cards with the club seat location printed on them.

At least you set her up in some nice seats for a change.     ;)

She loved them. Except the couple in front of us that seriously needed to get a room.
