Probably a nickname.  I think it means "little", or "baby".

AndrewS102, it's not a requirement, but you are certainly invited to introduce yourself in the new members / intro thread.   :P

Correct, a nickname.  When there are two Chris' in the family (Christian and Christopher) one of them has to go by something else, right?

Nary a mention of our friend JimBo in the blog post, but kudos to Rizzo for getting it done.  Hmmmmmm.  Could this be foreshadowing a changing of the guard?

edit: just saw info in the other post...carry on.

Bowden's a retard. Montz should have been called up on the first.

I was hoping we would get a look at Montz this September; unfortunately it comes at Flores' expense.

Yeah but Montz has to be put on the 40 man next season or clear the rule V draft. Only having two catchers in September is unnecessary.

Well, nobody wanted Flores to get hurt, but we all wanted a look at Montz.

Agent39, will this be your first player to take the field in Washington?

That is a hell of an idea. Too bad TBS no longer shows Braves games :(

agent39, Montz is listed at nats.com as a 1B as well (not trying to open that can of worms again ). That makes him valuable in Nats land, no?

Interesting.  From the player perspective, Montz is worth a lot more as a catcher, since a good hitting catcher is an average hitting 1B at best.  Catcher's obviously a much more demanding position defensively, and Montz seems to be a very good defensive catcher.  I don't see 1b at all.
