You can get them at a few places in the Florida market (N.E. D.C.) although I am not sure if they boxes would be small enough. I think MS3000 foods is one of them.

I haven't, but I love beets. Beet salads seem to be on every menu nowadays and they are delicious.

I love The Beets!

Went to the new Good Stuff burger place in Crystal City tonight and got some sort of spicy burger (barn burner or something like that).  The only reason I got it was that all the other specialty burgers had cheese on it or cheese and bacon.  In other words, fatty crud.  Well, I did not notice the burger had gosh darn mayo on it.  At least the burger was tiny, about the size of maybe the little burger at 5 Guys, maybe smaller.  Cost more than a big burger at 5 Guys.  Completely unsatisfying.  I had to eat some of the fries they threw in without me ordering them (or at least I did not think I ordered them.  Awful fries, soggy as all heck.  I feel like suing these guys for calling this "Good Stuff" and advertising their menu as healthy.

I'm not as careful as you, but don't eat much of it either.  I have a few splurges, including the :glug: , but during the week I'm usually careful.  Even at CCSP, it's salads and turkey burgers, Billy's fresh caught tuna when it is in, and only once a week some crud.  So yes, I'm ticked that the "Good Stuff" place wasted my crud indulgence.

We had friends that raved about it but they have steady diets of total crap and grease.

Now that I think about it, my diet really is crap...last few days:
fried eggs and bagels every day (plus some bacon)
deep fried chicken parm sandwich w/ onion rings
chili cheez dawg with fries and mac & cheez
sausage & pepperoni pizza
steak fajitas
lots and lots of beer, rum, and wine

I should probably go sit in a rabbit hutch and nibble on greens for a few days & let the ticker recover.

18th street Diner has a badass chicken parm sandwich.  Heart attack on a roll, but the marinara is perfect and the cheese is nice smoky provolone.

MDS - seriously, as you know, it is hard to beat the CCSP burger, especially on half price Mondays.  That thing is 8 ozs, they butcher it themselves, have kick but toppings, and, if you are a hot sauce guy, there is the bin of hot sauces behind the main bar.   Still, like I said, I don't eat much crud and usually get the smoked turkey burger instead of the meat unless I have not have much meat over the weekend.

Very true.  You know, we haven't been to CCSP in a long time but I think it's high time to correct that.  Everything still copacetic there?

My bartenders are getting fewer and fewer, but I can usually find one who will humor me most nights  and put on the games I want.

Can you get a burger with pulled pork, slaw, bacon, baked beans, and a fried egg?  A place at Snowshoe has those...it's like eating an entire buffet on a bun.

The bacon and the egg actually sounds OK, as do onion rings, but I'll pass on the pork and the beans.  Slaw can come on the side.

Slaw on top of pulled pork is traditional and tastes perfect

I don't like my food mixed :spaz:

I used to have to have a separate little plate for things like pickled beets or cole slaw or whatever when I was a kid because if it got on anything else I wouldn't eat it.  And by "used to" I mean I still do

The missus practices culinary apartheid as well...she might as well be presiding over checkpoint charlie with barbed wire and floodlights when it comes to salad and rice touching.  She looks like she just swallowed a toad when I mix up a big plate of stuff in a restaurant.
