Because this is already a make-up game, and the NL Central is really tight.
the game is in the bag already. it would be different if we were winning or only down 1. this game is a blowout.

the field is a pit.

Do any of the other NL Central teams think the Nationals really have a chance to win this game?  Hell, they're just sad they don't have more games against us.

Games against the Nationals are pretty much walkovers...unless you're the Mets.

I think it's the Nats call, since it's the last time STL visits this year, but I'm not positive.

You asked, I was just speculating.  If your question was rhetorical you should have said so :P

No.  It was a genuine question.  I just had to throw my spin on it.  :icon_mrgreen:

Have the Nats had a road rain delay this year?  Florida, maybe, I'd guess.

how many games have we lost this year due to rain shortened games?

I would be pissed if we were actually a competitive team and getting screwed like this but because we are awful so it's like who really gives an F.

If we were competitive, we wouldn't be getting screwed like this.  It's because we aren't that it's not a big deal.

In other words, instead of rain-shortened wins, we can only get rain-extended wins? Actually, it was the bullpen that extended that game, not the rain.  Well, rain extended it by two months, the bullpen extended it into extra innings.  :|

Well, it was a nice run, I got three straight games.  First time I've had that so far this year.

This game was the 16th time this season where weather has either delayed or called a game for the Nats. All those minutes added up equal 1831 minutes or 30 hours and 31 minutes of Nationals baseball time missing.

I'd have to go back and look it up, but this has to be more weather cancellations and rain delays this season alone (as far as home matches) than our previous four seasons combined. It's bad enough what's going on on the field - but can't we get a break from the weatherman?

It's not going to be much easier the rest of the homestand - Yahoo! Weather is predicting isolated thunderstorms tonight (30% chance of rain) and Sunday.
