yeah, but as linty said ... he's a lefty ... we might be looking for a righty bat.

Well not if that player was replacing Taveras, they would be looking for speedster/defensive OF as per JCA's comment.

boooooooooooo. He's hitting .300? Who gives a freak!!

Wait, weren't you the one arguing in favor of the average stat (and even used Dunn's low average to prove how worthless he is)?

Goss:

Quote
Lannan has thrown 53 pitches in the first three innings, walking in a run in the second inning. He's walked four and given up four hits, missing on the left side of the plate repeatedly. It's been a rare bout with control issues for the left-hander, who's been sharp with his fastball his last couple starts. The one saving grace for Lannan has been two double plays, including one in the fourth that saved a run.

?

willie harris isn't going on the DL so they still have him off the bench.  who knows.  i'm okay with maxwell/harris platooning with bernadina as the back-up i guess.

mench has started off nicely too.

Yeah, but you said send Taveras down.  My point is, that they would be looking for defense/speed first with the replacement and a righty bat second.

Alright.  This is good.  Lannan could still have a serviceable outing.

Yeah, and I'm saying we have Harris who can do that role, if Maxwell starts and vice versa.  I don't know, we'll see what happens.

He's killing us in the #3 spot. I would bat his ass #8 if Riggs insists on playing him.

our infield defense with our regulars (Dunn - Kennedy - Desmond - Zimmerman) are playing some solid D.
