Maybe he's learned HOW to play in those 30 years. Like I've posted before, I'll take a smart, perhaps less-talented hitter against most teams #4 & #5 pitchers, every day.

Tampa Bay (51-75)
Chi Cubs (53-72)
Nationals (54-72)
Baltimore (56-69)

Our records against those teams that we played this year:

Baltimore: split 3-3
Tampa: Nats edge 2-1
Pittsburg: split 3-3
Cubbies: Nats edge 4-2

So we're 12-9 against the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th worst teams in baseball (We didn't play #1 KC or #6 Seattle). I don't think it would really be fair to any of these teams to say the Nats are the 5th worst team in baseball. I'm pretty sure it's more like a 7-way tie for worst.
