this season is nearly an exact duplicate of last season. it's crazy.

we have about the same record as we had last year at this time and during this time last year we were on a terrible losing streak after coming off a nice stretch of winning. sounds familiar. :?

humiliating. we aren't getting crap from our starters.

and we have no alternatives in AAA really. Martis got lit the hell up tonight: 5 IP 11 H 6 ER 3 BB 3 K. He has been terrible.

Detwiler has been okay but I don't think he would fare much better than any of these guys already up here.

If Detwiler does come up maybe the Nationals will shut down Lannan with Detwiler being the lefty replacment

some positivity on the farm:

Chris Marrero is 5/6 with 2 Doubles, 3 Singles, 2 Runs scored today in Harrisburg's doubleheader.

Batting .412 since the promotion to AA.

Strasburg probably just took off his Nats hat where ever he is.

They wouldn't be rookies, Rob.  This would be their rookie year.

If this is typical of how we're going to play the rest of the season, there's no way we can avoid getting the #1 pick next year.

Mike Burns going for his 4th career ML win tonight. he has a career 5.65 ERA in the bigs so expect him to dominate.

just accept it. that is a given at this point. there is no team close to as bad as this Nationals team.

and bryce harper is no lock to be a stud or anything (i know neither is strasburg, but at least he's had some success against international/collegiate competition).

again this is the year to go out and get some marquee free agents.  we got lucky we got dunn for such a low price tag, we're really going to have to make some moves in the offseason.

That's wrong.  We should have two runs from that.

Watch we don't score any!

what's interesting is the angels-orioles game last week when felix pie hit for the cycle, his last hit could've easily been called a ground rule double but gary matthews jr, did the right thing and played the ball.  (the game was a blowout anyway)
