it's obvious Edwin Jackson got a cortizone shot after the 2nd.

Give a cortizone shot to every Nats hitter.  That or bat Desmond 1 through 9.

Please Espinosa. I have faith that you'll break out next year. Start early!

Costas said in the pre-game that we had no chance because of the pitching matchup. Twice he has mentioned that the team with the best season record seldom wins the WS.  I have always liked Costas, but he's like the others and looks at Washington as a small-market town.

Costas is a St. Louis guy since forever.

From wiki:   Costas began his professional career at KMOX radio in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as a play-by-play announcer for the Spirits of St. Louis of the American Basketball Association in 1974. He also called Missouri Tigers basketball for KMOX, and co-hosted the station's Open Line call-in program.

Also, why is Stammen warming up? Jackson has finally settled down.

was that a lazy fly or decent contact?  Gameday said it was an elevated sinker.

Espinosa still can't hit but I notice he's carrying the bat a touch lower, which has to help. Eckstein way too late in correcting this.
