At least he can't claim a moral victory tonight (can he?).

Nope, can't put lipstick and frilly socks on this pig.   It's plain stanky.

Troy Weaver for GM and Brian Shaw/Mike Malone/Brad Stevens for Head Coach.  Give them all of the money in an attempt to save this awful franchise.

We're at the point where teams will be going all out just to avoid the embarrassment of being the first team to loose to the wizards -  I think we have a shot at the longest streak to start a season now

Extremely curious as to what it will take for Leonsis to fire, ya know, ANYONE?

...mercifully I wasn't there....instead I was aboard a British Airways flight (excellent premium economy service) to London, where I am now and will be for the next three weeks (total of six Wizards home matches embarrassments to be missed).

Sort of wish I could have heard the radio broadcast though - colour man Glenn Consor must have been beside himself (he tells it like it is - amazingly uninhibited criticism of poor Wizards performances in past broadcasts).

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/21146609/andray-blatche-slams-wizards-after-stealing-35-million-from-them

Even Fat Andray Blatche is trolling the Wizards.

I also read that Lerner sat next to Leonsis last night at the game.

I have to say - it does kind of feel like the Jim Bowden years with the Nats.  No real plan during the offseason.  No eye for talent (Jan Veseley).  Trying to see if a bunch of knuckleheads with talent might work (Blatche, McGee, Arenas, Crittendon, etc. as compared to Lastings Milledge and Dukes).  Overpaid, underperforming vets.  Coach that is put iin an impossible position and then just deals with it by appearing not to give a rat's azz after a certain point.

Just fire Grunfeld already.  He's had ten years.  What is the point of keeping him?  Hire me for a dollar and I'd do at least as well as 0-12.

Is tonight the night?  Unless they collapse in the 4th, they have a shot.

Portland looks terrible.  Lillard looks much better than Beal, though.  Last year's lotto pick Vesely is now glued to the bench (on an 0-12 team with very little talent).  Not good, Grunfeld.

That was a really ugly win.  I can't see them winning more than ten or twelve games this year.  Maybe John Wall has some magical effect on the team and can make them play better, but I doubt it.

Wiz made it interesting.    I wanted to walk the dog but knew I couldn't leave too early (after the SA fiasco the other night).   Blew that big lead but hung on.   Glad for the team and the fans.   Now, kick the Knicks' ass.

Les Wizerables is an excellent nickname.

Sad that 15 games into the year, this topic dropped off the front page of the OT thread.  Nobody cares about the 'Zards.  They did it to themselves, though.

Showing some fight against the Heat tonight.  I have no doubt they will wilt and end up losing, but this one should rate as another moral victory.  Could have been a 40 point beat down, so that's progress.

Webster and Nene should be the go-to guys on this team. Also, Livingston is a MUCH better player than Price. It sucks that Wittman takes Webster and Livingston out every time they get hot.

After watching the Knicks game a few days ago, I'm convinced that Nene is the only good player on the Wizards.

I sit here and watch this mess and wonder what the hell are the Wiz thinking.   Some of the poorest passing I've seen since 6th grade.   Awful choices and what was Seraphin thinking on the drive to the basket.    This ain't professional ball.    Yet, the Wiz are up.

PS  Watching this 'cause they put on "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" instead of NCIS.

PSS    Steelers/Ravens replay on the NFL Network.    Gotta go   .....

PSSS    Ravens are some ugly people.
