You could have seen this loss coming an hour ago.
Last time I checked, this game still has four innings to go.

That double was hit well. I am unimpressed by Detwiler. Was unimpressed last season, also.

He seems destined for the bullpen.  Could be pretty good there as a 7th or 8th inning guy - he may not have what it takes to get through a lineup more than once.

A lefty out of the bullpen that throws 92-94 could be pretty valuable, though.

If det ends up going 6-7 innings with 2 er given up he did his job.

Sometimes I can't tell if people are being serious or just trying to parody themselves.

And you expect what to be different from what's already happened?  To be able to score with RISP, perhaps?

Nix with a totally worthless night at the plate. Nats hit nothing but long fly balls which in this park = death. Gotta hit line drives. Just look at all the Rockies' hits

Please don't get caught stealing.  Let Ramos and the pitcher get themselves out so we can get to the top of the order again because we know the back end of our lineup is about as worthless as you can get.

This pitcher has a 7+ ERA and we've scored one run off of him.  This is about as bad as it gets.

Progress!  Our lineup is great.  Our hitting coach is the best!

Our entire lineup outside of Zim, Morse, and (sometimes) Werth is essentially an automatic out.  I can't take much more of watching this offense.

This is horrible, so many freaking baserunners and we can't score anything.

This is perfect PH spot but we have no one to use thanks to Rizzo's awful roster. Ankiel should not be facing a lefty in this spot

Ankiel just met with Eckstein during the pitching change, so I predict he looks at 3 strikes.

There is no set of circumstances where you can EXPECT this team to win.  You could line up the worst situation (from the opponents perspective) and THIS is likely the Nationals team that will show up.

Like I posted before, this team could lose with four of a kind.

way overmatched. 9 baserunners left on in 6 innings.

Ankiel should not have been allowed to face a LHP there

Time to turn to "Married With Children."  Watching Al Bundy lose at life is more entertaining than watching the Nats lose a winnable baseball game.

Game.
