Last Tuesday, Bowie lasted six innings and gave up three runs on three hits against the Orioles. Bowie found himself in trouble after giving up a three-run homer to Melvin Mora in the second inning. But after pitching coach Randy St. Claire told him to change his windup, Bowie shut out the Orioles over the next 4 2/3 innings. He is now 3-0 as a starter and Washington is 5-0 when he starts a game.

Right-hander A.J. Burnett was originally tabbed for the finale against the Nationals, but he's likely to skip the start after exiting his last outing with a tender shoulder. If that's the case, Toronto will turn to Towers. The righty is 1-4 with a 5.00 ERA in five starts this season for the Jays. On Monday, Towers rejoined the rotation after a stint in the bullpen, and allowed three earned runs on five hits, including one home run, with five strikeouts in four innings against the Giants. In his career against the Nats, Towers is 2-2 with a 2.73 ERA in four trips to the mound.

It appears that Lopez may be looking at an extended stay on the pine...he needs it, he's been struggling mightily at the dish...

Hmm, I've seen them do better.

It's a great stadium.
I've been there in 1996, took a tour and afterwards went up in the cn tower.

Ill be nice and say this is an "interesting" lineup by Manny. B.S. batting 6th, Fick starting two days in a row, and Batista too. Benching Nook two days in a row isn't a good move by Manny. I know he looked dumb vs Halladay but so did the entire team.

ugh.. terrible pitch on a 1-2 count.  why do our pitchers throw breaking balls when the opposing hitters show that they can't hit the fastball?
