I wonder if anyone has been DFA'd by the same team twice in the same season.

Wow, I was kinda bummed when I realized this was a day game so I wouldn't be able to watch or listen at work.  But based on all the comments so far, I think I'm having a better time at work :?

If you want to look at something positive, look at Volstad HR given up.  He left some high ones hangin' in the first that made my heart skip a beat, but Belliard in particular didn't take advantage.

Strasburg
Lannan
Zimmermann

We only need 1 other pitcher considering we have a lot of young pitchers fighting for those spots.

i guess it depends on what the goals for next year from the FO.  If they want to be a competitive club, throwing 3 2nd year pitchers and a rookie out there isn't exactly a recipe for success.

Why couldn't the streak-breaking loss have been competitive?  Losing like this wipes out all of the good feeling of the win streak.

And those young pitchers can start next season in Syracuse.  You shouldn't depend on them from day 1. They should be called up if the good, solid veterans we sign fall through.

Why are we always expected to rush our prospects up.  Other, mature, FO let their young players spend time, sometime lots of time, in the minors and don't expect them to perform in the majors so quickly.

Hell, I might consider starting Zimmermann in Syracuse and certainly Strasburg.

At least todays game is early so I can watch the Sox-Yankees game tonight. I don't like either team, but I enjoy watching them play each other.

I wonder what free agent starting pitchers we'll go after :?

P.s. very interested in how JZ does in his bullpen session tomorrow.  I don't like hearing he has discomfort after every time he starts.  please no shawn hillitis all over again
