un-freaking-real.

take Beimel off the list of reliable relievers. that leaves no one.

When will our bullpen be evaluated and dealt with?

Eh, it wasn't that bad of a zone. The real problem I saw was that Beimel didn't have anything that was making the hitters swing and miss... that's the great equalizer to a small strike zone.

Dude they aren't packing it in. This is their livelihood.

they haven't yet but it won't be long before they likely fall off. And I wouldn't blame them. This is unheard of. No bullpen should be this bad. Not 1 guy can be trusted. I mean we don't even have 1 or 2 solid relievers to rely on.

I mean how can they show up to the park everyday and hit their asses off only for the BP to blow it over and over again?

199 runs given up in 31 games = 6.4 runs/game :?

With this offense, we have to give up that many runs to be so terrible.

It's almost surreal.

I think that's already happened.

The Nats got double digit hits off Cain - and spider really thinks that the zone wasn't off.

Rizzo is too busy with the draft. He couldn't give a freak less about the ML roster.

Don't worry though, it has already been announced that Colome and MacDougal will get the call before Friday's game against the Phillies.

How the hell was he able to get the first two batters out then? this game is about 27 outs and unfortunately we have a bullpen that is only good for about 2 of those outs.

nope, not kidding. Ladson posted this like a week ago:

Quote
Relievers Mike MacDougal and Jesus Colome are about a week away from being called up. Asked how long the team can stick with Kensing, Acta said, "He doesn't have a deadline here."

Friday, is the first day Colome is eligible to be called up so it is a lock he will be called up. I expect MacDougal too since Rizzo is in love with veteran arms. Meanwhile Bergmann and Clippard rot in Syracuse.

Globson said the bullpen will be mainly "veterans" for the rest of the year. Expect Mock to get demoted.

seriously, how does Beimel get by throwing 80-83 mph junk in the majors? that pitch to Sandoval was a BP fastball-- a legitimate batting practice pitch.

can't believe the freaking fat boys beat us in the 9th.

So what is that? The second game this season Beimel has let go? Thanks, Joe.

Jaime Moyer has done it for decades but he's no Jaime Moyer.

We need to start officially calling the bullpen the bullcrappen.

He had a terrible outing, but he's still a solid reliever.

I don't care how old they are as long as they get the job done. but the fact is that the veteran guys have been just as bad if not worse than the younger guys. Tavarez, Wells, Beimel, Kensing, etc. These guys are dreadful.

I care.

What's the point of the young guys working to improve in the minors if they aren't going to be given a chance?

so true. Clippard, Stammen, and even Bergmann have to feel puzzled right now. They have done great down in the Minors and our pitchers up here have sucked balls they those guys don't get the call up.

Why doesn't anyone ask him about the kids in AAA?

You jerk, you haven't looked at everyone available.

You've just looked at the retreads we already have in the pen.
