He said recently that he wants to go back.
we should grant his wishes. that bastard has been a complete waste this season anyways.

Acta misused him constantly but he hasn't been worth the money, no doubt.

For some reason I was thinking we were playing the D-backs. I feel so stupid.
I'd rather face Heath Bell than Huston Street

Heath Bell is the Padres' closer.

Most frustrating loss of the season?

Has to be. If Acta doesn't blow up in the presser after the game he never will.

so i got texts from various people that read:

kearns lol ... oh no tavarez ... told you oh no tavarez ... beimel are you serious ... kearns sucks ... worse than the lions ... manny should fire himself ...

i'm assuming we're losing.

It sucks even more that you're not watching the game and are relying on texts from your brother. There are people who wish they could watch these games and you're playing video games instead.   8)

Wouldn't matter, we'd figure out a way to lose by proxy.

sure he's not the one swinging and making the errors, but he's the one patting the guys backs as they come in from the dugout after making a bonehead play or not getting a run in and saying everything is okay.

the guy is not a big league manager.

This is one of the worst losses of the season and it's only by one run!

rofl, this team freaking sucks. i've officially given up hope for our future. we're going to become like the lions, or the browns, or any other consistent loser. we may have a couple decent years but i have no faith in this team to do anything

Meanwhile, Hanrahan tonight gave up a hit, a walk, and an ER in 1/3 of an inning. This game would have been something with him instead of Burnett.

If we lose, yes, IMO, most frustrating loss of the season. Just an ugly game.

no he is not. This is the type of performance that warrants flipping tables over in the locker room and cursing guys out.

like what was written by Boswell we need to completely blow up the majority of this team and start over.

And the experts are convinced the Pirates got the better of this deal.

and firing the manager.

hell we got rid of the pitching coach, the new one has had a positive effect.  look @ the rockies they canned their old man, now they are playing some of the best baseball in the league.  i really don't think they are that much better.

If we were a moderately competent team, this game would be going into the bottom of the 9th with us up by 5 or 6 runs.

11 hits + 3 walks = 4 runs.

how many freak ups were there in this game by the Nats? Had to have been at least 10.

So his 7+ ERA is closing in on 8.

Burnett and Bergmann did their jobs. That's about it, though.
