Any chance any of the top 4 play any Minor league ball this year?

MAYBE a game or two, but doubtful. Im pretty positive Purke won't. But Turnbull and Meyer might get a game or two in. Rendon and Goodwin might get a couple at bats.

There's only what, 20 days left in the minor league season? Even though Im sure they've been working out, the team will still get them at least a week of prep before putting them into a game. And they haven't reported to camp just yet.

Last year, Sammy Solis pitched in just two games, totalling 4 innings. Ray and Cole only pitched 1 inning apiece.

Let's go back and debate even more obscure history.  Lee should have detached Longstreet's corps to relieve Vicksburg after Chancelllorsville rather than advance into Pennsylvania.

Muhammad shouldn't have married Khadija.

any guesses as to whether anyone other than Rendon goes to the AFL?

Im not sure of all the rules, but as mentioned earlier, we only get one special exemption of guys that aren't in AA. If Rendon takes that spot, he's the only one. My guess is that Purke is a possibility, but I don't know if they will be that aggressive with him. Meyer already threw 100 innings this year, and needs some consistency before reaching this level of comp IMO. Goodwin just isn't experienced enough. So of the draft class, IMO, the only likely possibility is Rendon. But that's just my own speculation of course.

Turnbull must feel like an outsider.  No one is mentioning him in any write-ups.  It might be due to the fact that 16.2 million/4 is more 'ink worthy' than 16.5/5.  But still, it'd be nice to have some of the FO discuss him as well, unless he is not considered an impact player.

He's a fifth rounder. Does he really care about newspaper coverage? He got PAID.

I just don't think he's sad about a lack of media coverage. How many teams have a news conference for their 4th rounder? And if they did, people would be LAC complaining. I'm glad he signed and he got a big bonus. Where's the problem?

why would LAC be complaining about a press conference for Turnbull?

I thought it was a good pick btw and never said anything about not getting enough love

He really didn't get a huge bonus. Nearly 10 times less than what Goodwin got.

It's not Hairston we even minded fans get upset with (stop trying to use LAC'ers as a defense for everything) it's when they introduce him and Marquis as game changers that pisses people off.

50% over slot, and that's what he was willing to sign for. Nats fans should want players signed for fair but not enormous salaries.

Unlike you, I don't care what a player makes. I care about production.
