I can't believe this is a legit story, but it isn't shocking that Bochy would give him a chance (he was supposed to be one of his coaches in the ASG).

I'd be surprised if he's allowed to work anywhere the rest of the season by the terms of his old contract.

Meh, this is my first reaction:

And, shouldn't this be in the "Former Nats Watch" thread?

Would not be a surprise. Riggleman is pretty good. Sad way to leave the Nats, but he's a decent baseball guy.

Rizzo is such a joke.  This guy should be our manager.  :idiot:

Has he already threatened to quit if not given an extension for next season, too?

Has he made clear his expectations as far as how much people need to show him respect?

Not surprising that managers/coaches stick together- I still don't see him ever managing again

Non-compete clauses are tricky legally and vary state by state, for the most part companies can't keep you from working regardless of what is signed in a contract.

In any case, he wouldn't be interviewing if he wasn't allowed to accept the job.

why?

Rizzo issues notwithstanding, whats so great about Riggleman?

He's not a very good manager to begin with. he is a stopgap at best. always was.
