Deja vu all over again. This reminds me too much of early in the season.
Bob made the same analogy.  Crappy weather and horrible first innings just like April.

Even the game thread is short of some of the usual suspects.

wow... what a joke.  lead-off error and then 3 straight routine outs.

The Padres made scoring those 3 runs look real easy.  For us to score 3 runs, hell would have to freeze over.

Goodevening or afternoon for you.
I'm a bit selfish: I hope we play today, tomorrow will be diffycult for me to watch..

Would you like to retract this statement? Do you guys think an early deficit combined with the miserable conditions may make the players want to mail it in?

definitely.  I could see this quickly becoming a rout in favor of the Padres.  They score runs at ease against us while we have to grind just to score 1.

So far Simontacchi is not giving in a good 1-2-3 inning.
Let wait and see before we give up on this game.

If his swing weren't so long those fouls could've been opposite field singles. Instead he hit a fart to the pitcher.

Is it bad pitching or bad hitting with those stats that the Nats keep loosing.

Wells is enjoying this day.
Perhaps its time for some more rain? :'(

Wells making quick work of the Nats' awful offense.  I hate when we lose games in the 1st inning

Does the error in the 1st ruin Wells chances for a Perfect Game?

If so, at least he'll get a no hitter.

Simontacchi looks fine now much like Speigner looked last night after the first inning..  But why did they have to $%#@ up in the first inning..  You can't win a game in the 1st but you can sure lose one as was evident last night and today.

A bit of both.
I really like to watch Sunday games or I should say afternoon games, because the others are far too late.

Simontacchi is very good after that rough start.

While we're on Belliard, we need King to have some solid outings because I see us trading Belliard, Young and King in the next 6 weeks or so.
