The Pirates made 7 errors and lost to the Cubs - the same Cubs we just battered - 12 to 2 :lmao:

it sucked to lose tonight, but when we lose, it's dramatic.

I'm nervous about Storen

RDG: PM me. My daughter is "threatening" to get us tickets to the Wednesday game at Shea II. Strasburg's last start, by the plan. Don;t have the tickets yet, but I'll try to find you. StubHub should have decent tickets cheap. This is the part of the season when Mets season ticket holders don't want to see the misery. Got tickets on the rail, beside the Nats dugout last year.

Tough loss last night - especially Strasburg.  Clippard to a lesser degree.

Nats made a game of it.  Also, fans doing the Shark chomp was pretty awesome.  Too bad it ended with a 3 pitch K, but it was still awesome.

This team doesn't quit, and when they lose, the opposition earned it.  8)

THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Wednesday 7th September 2005 saw the Nats get clobbered at home by the ancestor of these very same Marlins, 12-1, with Dontrelle Willis becoming the Marlins' first-ever 20-game winner...record now 72-68...http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250907120

---

Caught the final inning on the radio after getting home from the Mystics (lost 96-68 to an LA Sparks side with four former Mystics on the roster)...let's rally and take the other two fixtures this weekend. I will agree with other posters though that the Marlins these days are rather an unlikable lot.

---

Consolation prizes: at least the Reds and Orioles lost (and Oakland and Tampa Bay won). Bit healthier attendance than in past days at 28,533; pity they had to see such a stinker.
