If we were a moderately competent team, this game would be going into the bottom of the 9th with us up by 5 or 6 runs.

I have said it time and time and time again - this team doesn't know how to score on anything but bombs.

And the experts are convinced the Pirates got the better of this deal.

12 pitches - only 5 strikes (which would include the hit).

Manny's lineup decisions are just crazy. It's like Bowden is calling him telling him to keep his buddies happy.

This is one of the worst losses of the season and it's only by one run!

That was said after the last loss ... and will be said again.

like what was written by Boswell we need to completely blow up the majority of this team and start over.

The problem with blowing up the team is, how does it make us better?   We lost 102 last year, we'll lose more than that this year.  Do we lose even more next year?

Does blowing up the team get us fewer losses next year?

Why is it that our veteran players make the dumbest mistakes/kill us the most?

Guzman botching a routine grounder and swinging early in the count all night.

Beimel can't even throw a ball to 2nd base to turn a DP.

Bard throwing beach balls to second base letting guy to steal at ease.

Kearns falling down between first and second and getting picked off.

Tavarez walking the #8 hitter on 4 pitches and then walking another batter.

In the aftermath though you have to laugh at that gaff by Beimel. Harris tried to make the best of it but it was not happening. Tavarez was garbage again.

I'm thinking seeing that alone will be worth the price of the MLB.tv subscription.

absolutely it does. get rid of all of the veterans that aren't producing (Guzman, Villone, Tavarez, Bard, Kearns, etc, etc) and replace them with ML players that can play defense and hit/pitch and we will win more games.

Getting rid of Manny Acta would be huge too.

I don't know what we are going to do with the infield next year. Giant holes at SS, 2B, and 1B.

i know i keep saying this, but i just can't believe how bad this team is.  it's unreal to think a team can lose this much and in these types of ways.

in a perfect world our players would step up and stop playing with that pressure on themselves, manny would step down and the lerners would sell the team.

Is it remotely possible that the some players are trying to get Manny fired?
