We should have pinch hit for Lannan because, at this point, all the pitchers are doing is, quoting myself, controlling the size of the loss.

It doesn't matter if Lannan and the bullpen shut out the Cubs for the rest of the game or give up 10 runs.  It'll be a close loss or a blowout loss.
