Watching the Final Four and there was a young man behind the half time set that had a curly W hat on.

Apparently there's also a sign that says:

Rice Owls didn't make it, but neither did Texas

Ohhhhhhhhkay, well I was at the Paid Dues independent hip-hop festival in San Bernardino, CA, and I counted AT LEAST 14 curly dubs hats. I know none of those kids are from the D.C. area.

Two reasons I can think of:

- West Coast
- West Side Connection

What was the line-up like?

oooh the lineup was nasty... immortal technique is always fantastic live. i got to see binary star, my favority hip hop group. they've been disbanded since 2002. slaughterhouse killed it. mos and talib reunited for a black star performance, but by then i was so tired and bored it wasn't as awesome as I would have predicted. murs was fantastic live too. oh, and i saw some grindtimenow battles, which was sweet.

I love Binary Star (and OneBeLo since the breakup). Why are they touring? Are they going to release another album?

I wish they had released another album after Masters of the Universe. Their extended crew was releasing a lot of fun tracks after that (Lyrictricity, etc) produced by Decompoze. I guess they were on the Waterworld Too album.

Wore my Curly W away cap to Wrestlemania XXVII this past Sunday in Atlanta.  Also some saw some gangsta guy walking down the street there with a red curly w cap, however his was sideways and still had stickers on it and the bill was completely flat.

The road blue cap showed up on SNL. Kenan Thompson was playing Ice Cube and wore it in a movie poster.

Binary Star are reunited and are going to put out a new record. Looks like a new LP is in the works.

Oh man, I had almost forgot about the whole Game vs. G-g-g-g-g-g-g-unit saga.  Thanks for the laugh.

How do you "I know none of those kids are from the D.C. area?"  Did you ask them?  Or are you just assuming?

I asked about 7 or 8, and when none of them were, I gave up and extrapolated.

Saw a Blue road cap at the table behind me and my Dad in the Chestnut Hill (MA) Cheesecake Factory as I was leaving there today.  I think the guy vowed to eat a 100 calories for each win this year.

Sick.

I wish they had done it like a decade ago, but that's still great news.
