The language in Toronto is English.

It's only French/English in Quebec.  Toronto's in Ontario.

If Zimmerman really does hit 30 homers, and 110+ rbi's, I really hope hope we give him the big long teerm contract.

That's not something we need to worry about anytime soon. He'll get his when the time is right.

They just said Speinler won't be pitching the next rotation around. I like Spegnler. Hoepfully he really really gets better. He has great stuff, and is a really great athlete. Hopefully he can survive this season and go down to the minors next season.. I really see potential for this kid.

Great inning from Jesus!  Sets up perfectly for a Rauch 8th and a Chief 9th

Levale is out of the rotation!!  :worship:

I still say we get 3 more outings between Levale and Bacsik before we get some arms back though.

Did they say who will start for him? Is O Connor,Berg, or someone coming back yet?

We have an off day on Thursday so we only need 4 starters for the time being.

I'd still like to see us tack on another run or two.

I'd feel better if we scored a few more runs, though.

Well, officially it sounds like they are simply skipping his spot in the rotation because of the day off. But one has to expect that someone else will be up and ready to go when that spot comes around again.

O'Connor must be almost ready to come up, then after a couple more starts, I bet it's berg.

I suspect Bergmann and O'Connor will be back in Pittsburgh or at home against the Cubs.

The dumb sideline interview detracted some of the thunder from Zimmerman's bomb though.

Belliard has been suspect on pitches on the outer part of the plate.

Anyone know what has gotten into Marlon Byrd? Today he is 2/4 HR, 2B, 3 RBIs and since he has been called up by the Rangers he has hit .390 1 HR 11 RBIs in 77 ABs

He has stretches like that from time to time. I don't get it though. When he returned from the minors at the conclusion of 2005, after working on his swing with Page, he had major pop in his bat. I thought he would explode in 2006 but it never materialized.

I know what you mean but we desperately need better arms and he is an improvement over what we have currently. He has major issues with his release though.

I'm not sure how much of an improvemnt he is over our current starting rotatoin. I need to see him before i make any claims.
