Rizzo kind of blew it by not getting a better backup catcher for Pudge.

shut the freak up bob ... going home on that play was the right call.  if nieves holds on to it it's an out.  give credit to phillips for knocking him out, but the fact he was dancing after that ... we better retaliate.

Some people would, others wouldn't.  Either way, so the freak what dude?  I know you just like to stir up crap, but no duh people are going to applaud their own team and boo the other team

I agree with Ray here.  Don't have a problem with the play itself, but the self aggrandizement, is uncalled for.

Running over the catcher? Great play.

Getting up and showboating? Douche.

It's just a fact and I'm pointing it out. It's not about applauding your own team. This is about the behavior that has nothing to do with performance. You can't label one person's behavior one thing and call it something else when your players do it. If you have an issue with what I post you know what the freak to do.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you. I didn't like what Phillips did one bit. I would've been tempted to challenge him on the spot if I were Nieves except for the fact that deep down inside I realize that's his prerogative after the made the play. He made the play and was celebrating it. He earned it in my book. Doesn't mean I have to like the fact that it led to a run for the Reds. My only point is the way things get interpreted differently. It can't be an jerk move by an opponent yet the same move be swagger from your own player. That's my only point.

I agree with this. It sucks because it happened against our own team, but I can't fault the guy for being pumped he made the play. I'd pump my fist too.

Kicked out for arguing an interference call against Desmond.

And you'd get plunked your next time up for showboating.  Hope you wouldn't fault the other guy for that either.
