Good teams take advantage of mistakes like that.

I see a typical poor LaRoche AB coming with a strikeout on a pitch in the dirt.

Gio with a 4.78 ERA in his last 9 starts...not good.

Must've been a long night at the club last night for Gio.

Why does that matter?  Obviously we're gonna get 4 game swept by the Braves, season is over today so that game is irrelevant.

In a game you trail by 4 you have to take advantage of that particular opportunity if there were any hope of winning this game.

Good.  He hasn't had back to back bad games yet this year.  Will be able to exact some "revenge".

Yeah, probably, but no team takes advantage of every opportunity.  Still a long way to go in this one.

I'd of just kept Gio out there and written this off as a loss.  Gotta think of protecting the pen as much as possible before a huge 4 game 3 day series against teh Braves

awful pitch by a rusty Stammen and Bernadina with a bad error. Terrible game, they weren't mentally prepared to play today.

I think Gio let the all-star game go to his head a little bit.   Thinks he can cruise through his career and will be a perennial all-star and first ballot HoFer.  It takes a little effort Gio, just a little more than that.
