I heard the Nats lost in 12 but the thing that jumped out at me on the first post was Church in clean up.   That seems so unusual compared to what's been going on recently.

That smacks of "gut feel", to me.  Church has been very hot lately, I see no problem in riding that horse till he drops.  The only thing that has distinquished this season from prior ones (besides a lot more playing time) is that Church hasn't really had an extended hot period this season, unlike in both 2005 and 2006, which really boosted his numbers.  Maybe he's on the verge of going on one of those periods, but is having trouble getting many at-bats while the Wily Mo trial continues.

This game is being REPLAYED on MASN now (started midnight.)  I saw a few innings earlier, but I'm amazed at how few people are there.  The Nationals still had thousands show up at the 2006 rain-delayed Phillies finale, which began at 11:30 PM.  The Marlins absence of fans is a spectacle of Loria's complete incompetence.

MOVE THE MARLINS TO MONTREAL
MAKE KENZ AFAN THE NEW OWNER.
