I don't get Davey waiving the white flag in what was a 4-3 game. On second thougth, letting Flores bat with the bases loaded, 1-out was when Davey waived the white flag. So it actually happened earlier.
He's not playing to win this game, he's playing to win later in the season.
Even though that makes no sense, this game has no impact on a game in September. Gotta win when you have a chance.
