Nats waiting until a little later this morning (West Coast) to make a call on if Ryan Zimmerman goes to DL. Team officials, docs consulting.

Would be retroactive at least.

Doesn't matter.   The world's ending in a few months.

It's official, Zimmerman suffers world-ending shoulder injury.  Link is forthcoming....

Wow he defends the Soriano move at the end lol, saying that the packages offered around the trade deadline centered around Kevin Slowey and Mark Lowe.

BTW, bring up Harper.

I think it's too soon for Harper. Bring him in late Aug/early Sep or if someone goes on DL in July.

I know he came up as a 3B and has played more games there than anywhere else. Has his D degraded that much?

My prediction is yes, but I'm always open to being pleasantly surprised.  We need bats at this point though and he has come up with hits when we needed them, so what the hell.

True, but just for an inning and no balls were hit at him.

Well he can't be worse than Mark Trumbo. Hopefully.

Happy Birthday Espinosa!!

That lineup!! :panic:

At least its Tracy and not DeRosa though. We need to get JZ some freaking runs here.

Like I said, might as well play the hot bat.  He had a UZR of -1.5 in 2010 with 254.1 innings at the position, so he probably won't be horrible there.  If he can field the position adequately today with a few hits, I will be content.

No damage. It's just the AC joint. Best possible news.

What's the only lineup more embarrassingly amateur than ours?

One where Jeremy Hermida is the cleanup hitter.
