Bram Weinstein sent a tweet saying that from what he's hearing, Peyton + Jeff Saturday to the Redskins is very likely to happen.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ycn-10830367

And what will the Redskins give up for two guys on the downsides of their career (Saturday will be 37 this summer), one of whom has serious neck issues? A #1, #2 and next year's #2?

If this happens, it just shows you that no matter who is the coach/GM, this team will continue to repeat the Jeff George mistakes of the past.

:hang:  Saturday has been considering retirement for two seasons so this would be THE dumbest move Snyder has ever made and that's saying a lot. This would be a move by those two to do the Colts a favor and help them reload for their next run while we decay in crap.

Did you guys actually read the tweets?

Also, important note to all of this: None of this has come from any source at Redskins Park, it's pure informed speculation.

/facepalm

He said he talked to ESPN insiders and they think it's likely to happen.

So, we are a long way away from any of this being any kind of reality. To summarize: The scenario has legs, but there is no certainty at all

What a freaking clown.

There's no basis for this assertion considering we don't know the state of Peyton Manning's neck.  This is just something Bram Weinstein pulled out of his ass.

This, this this. This is typical ESPN horsecrap. I'm surprised Sportscenter didn't do a breaking news update on this considering that's the worst programming on television and it loves crap like this. Weinstein probably was shooting the crap with his buddy and they speculated this and so he decided to run with it and later clarify it has no factual basis. freaking amateur, typical ESPN crap.

No doubt. Besides, Weinstein doesn't even cover the Redskins anymore.

Did anyone hear about the Redskins dealing with their own version of "mlbinsiderbob" or whatever that twitter handle was that kept "breaking" the Prince Fielder story?  Somebody posted to the Hogs Haven message board that they had run into Jim Haslett at a volleyball tournament and he told them that the Redskins were either going to trade with St. Louis for RG3, or sign Peyton and that they didn't like any of the other QBs in the draft, nor did they want to go after Matt Flynn.  The guy claimed Haslett drove a gold escalade.

WFAN (and I think WJFK) were sent into a tizzy trying to "confirm" the story - Haslett says its bunk.
