i had to listen to the last couple of innings on the radio in my car.

needless to say, i'm happy with the win.  starting pitching was good, relief pitching was great.  very unlikely hero at the plate in pudge.

4-5 after 9 games - with nobody hitting well minus zim it's probably ahead of where we should be.  lots of credit goes to the starting pitching for being better than expected so far.  even gorzelanny pitched well enough yesterday to not earn a loss.

it looked like morse was aobut to bust out of his slump after his hit today but that last strikeout was just brutal.  the pitcher had just walked the previous two guys, i believe, and morse swings at three breaking balls outside the zone.

morse was really good last year and great in spring training.  i'm sure he'll get it going again soon - this team doesn't have the offense to carry all three of werth, laroche, and morse if they're all slumping at the same time.
