Why do you find the need to laugh at people when things they like go bad?

There goes the Nats window of opportunity to gain some ground on the LANDOVER FORESKINZ.

You should know this by reading his posts in the GDT.  When you're that miserable, the only joy you could possibly extract from life is laughing at other people.

I think we are in for a long lockout if the players do reject this deal. The owners really seem set to dig in their heels. I might have to get back into college football if the regular season does get interrupted.

I don't really care for the NFL outside of laughing at delusional LANDOVER FORESKINZ fans and gambling.  Lock 'em out, college football is where it's at.

Who do you pull for in college football? I went to Marshall University, so I pull for the Herd. I've kinda started following Maryland the last few years also. I'm going to a game this upcoming season at Maryland. I also want to go to a Navy game cause I've heard that a pretty cool experience.

My main team is Virginia Tech but I follow Oregon, Tennessee and Texas as well.  Are you planning on going to the VT-Marshall game?  If so, I might be looking for some road trip pals for that one.

...and the longer this goes on without player ratification, the more likely it will be rejected (as opposition sentiment continues to coalesce - some players were already denouncing the pact as soon as word of the owners' ratification hit the wires this past Thursday).

The on-schedule start of this season is far from assured.

It would be such a PR nightmare if they did anything but played at this point.

I just can't wait for the onslaught of LANDOVER FORESKINZ coverage once the lockout ends.  I'm hoping they go 0-16 and FedEx field is overrun with Cowboiz and Iglez fans.

if they don't land Nnamdi or any other big free agent and beck or grossman is the opening day starter, I think coverage will get uglier

I'm really hoping Beck is the starter with Wrecks Glassjaw as the backup, I might actually got to FedEx field to take in the utter disappointment in person.  I know this is delusional tihnking on my part but maybe, just maybe, that'll get them to give up the LANDOVER FORESKINZ 24/7 coverage and give the Nats a little respect.

I have to agree. I would have been surprised if they actually let this thing go into the regular season. The NFL is making lots of cash for everyone involved. It would make no sense whatsoever to jeopardize that.

The NBA lockout could get nasty though. It doesn't seem like the NBA players association is that strong. I'm fine with the NBA season being canceled though, cause I think the NBA is terribly boring.

NBA has real problems, that one might take a bit longer.

I feel like I'm the only one on the planet who finds lockouts fascinating.
