So over anything superhero.
I still read Marvel's comics, but I rented the Avengers on demand and paused it 20 minutes in. Then never got back to it before the rental expired. I'm not over superheroes, but the movies? Sorry, plots are retarded and it's just 90 minutes of CGI explosions. No interest to see the new Spider-Man either. I'll watch the new Batman flick, but I 'acquired' a crappy... 'version' and the Bane voice had me flip it off in ten minutes. These movies are overdone and cliche. Give me Prometheus, Cabin in the Woods, or even cloud atlas although I've yet to see it.
And good lord on Paranormal Activity. I watched the first three, but can someone explain how people are still paying to see that trash? They film it in a week. They probably write it in an hour, less time than the film lasts.
It's 80 minutes of some hack B-unit director filming a bunch of "boo!" shots with zero plot aside from the first minute and the last. And while I expect a "that's any horror movie", the genre is a guilty pleasure of mine. At least even the ****ing Slasher films have *some* plot. Ooh, jock and cheerleader. Stoner. Kill the black guy first. (Not a racist comment, by the by. Referring to black dudes always dying first.) Then there's the "cannibals, undead freak, or is it one of the kids murdering the others?" The Saw movies were produced nearly as fast and cheap, even they had a trillion times the plot.
And while I realize it will flop and no one's going to see it, god damn I saw another trailer for Silent Hill 2 and I want either a time machine or to go into a coma until Friday. Sean Bean returns, Pyramid Head, Malcolm McDowell, Carrie Anne Moss, Radha Mitchell back and Unger the creepy cultess too? That movie is going to be a 90 minute horror orgasm for me.
