I don't think so.  I remember picking it up at v0.7, and I'm pretty sure it was Firebird at that point.
Yeah it was.  Phoenix was up to 0.5, then it went to Firebird at 0.6

Dude, your grammar goes to crap in this thread.  Don't Macs have a spell check? :icon_mrgreen:

And actually, if it weren't for the macbook on permanent loan to me (as long as I don't get fired), I'd definitely be considering one.  The hardware and battery life are nice, and I can always put 7 on it ;)

B, I'm posting from the iPhone (you wouldn't want to know from where   )
And C, the iPhone likes to autocorrect crap wrong like freak - duck, hell - he'll, etc :)

The battery life goes to crap on 7, primarily because there is no way to turn off the discrete graphics.  It sucks if I would have waited 10 months, I could have had a core i7 :?

Damn, they still haven't fixed that?  I guess I'm lucky that my loaner is GMA950-only.  It'd be pretty crappy if they made switching under 7 work on the newer ones but didn't fix it on yours :(

I think we just set a record for # of emoticons in a post.

Nah, we didn't beat CatsEye

Nope, still no graphics switching on the fly under OS X (requires a logout) and no support at all on 7.

The new ones apparently switch on the fly between the on board intel graphics of the i5 and the dedicated nvidia card.  I wonder how much mine would go for on eBay to get a newer one...

My Drobo is MAXED OUT!!! Four 2TB drives!  :woop:

In a related FYI, for 8 more hours, Newegg has 2TB drives on sale for $119. Of course, they've had these same drives available at these same prices in other sales for the past week so if you miss it, keep watching.

2TB drives at Newegg now $109, PRICED TO MOVE!  72-hour sale, which I believe means this weekend.

Hmm, might have to pick one up and an external enclosure to make a nice new external backup / extra storage drive.

Holy crap the first google link for Portable Ubuntu is a spyware site. Talk about Google bombs. Anyone looking for it, go to Sourceforge.

Ok both Firefox and Google block that site, but it is the homepage for Portable Ubuntu, and there are 2 lifehacker articles about this. I'm confused but giving up.

All this is necessary because my netbook tricks you into making a 4th primary partition when you first boot it, conveniently keeping you from making a Linux partition.

Another Reason to hate the Yankees.  NO IPADs allowed in Yankee Stadium!

Why would you want to bring an iPad anyways? You're there to watch the game, not play games/read on an iPad.

People coming from work may not have the option of leaving it at home.

Yeah, but a kindle is a useful device that's a reasonable size. They don't want people blocking others' views with gigantic useless slabs of recycled iPhone.

How about banning all cell phones/blackberries/other annoying electronic gizmos altogether?  I could do without the legions of tipsy tweeners braying loudly into their droids for half the damned game.

No because sometimes you get separated from family and friends and need to call them or text them to find them.

I think generations of families went to ballparks without cell phones and made it home just fine.

I agree with this line of thinking, but we're only dating ourselves to say it out loud.  The current and following generations are going to look at us the way we look at people who were alive when you actually talked to the operator.

Now get off my lawn you damn kids :old:

I loathe cell phones and sense of entitlement regarding instant communication they bring with them.

Fools who sit in the first row and spend the whole game on the phone mugging for their dorky friend (yes singular) drive me bananas though.
