That kick to the nuts in the last minute of stoppage time was pretty good compensation...oh, and winning.

Rookie question:   Do Premier League teams have their own TV announcers who are with the team for every game?     Seems like every time I see United on FOX, the same two announcers are on.   Don't know their names but the wife and I often comment on how we can't understand the color commentator on occasion.    We think he's speaking English.

These days they (at least the big teams) probably do.  When I lived there, it was still the TV dark ages where you had like BBC1, 2, and 3 and maybe Sky TV, and programming was really limited.  People watched a lot of stuff on the VCR.

"Following a viewing of the U.S. National Team's World Cup qualifying match against Honduras, which resulted in a 2-1 loss by the U.S., Director of Soccer Operations Mark Simpson and Soccer Hall of Famer John Harkes unveiled Virginia Cavalry FC as the new team name.

The Virginia Cavalry FC will play their home games in the ball park at One Loudoun and share the space with the Loudoun Hounds. The team is scheduled to begin play in the fall of 2014."

Assuming you are taking about when rvp's hand grazed his face. Horrible

Johnson was a little rough. Will be interesting to see what he is like once he knows what he is doing

Did it even touch his face?  Anyways, it was classic Spanish flopball.

I may be whistling past the graveyard but I absolutely abhor the flopping  ...  it's continuous.

UEFA really should be clamping down on this.  They can do whatever diving & flopping they want in La Liga or Serie A, but that should have been a yellow on Ramos, not RvP.

I even get tired of watching the acting in the EPL as well.   It seems though they're trying to minimize it.

It's been a big part of the game for so long in certain parts of the world, it's pretty pervasive in any of the major leagues with lots of international players.  That's one thing about the eastern european players, they aren't actors.  Stoichkov might give you a compound fracture, but he won't try to draw a penalty.

Oh, nice Liverpool. A 5-0 win over Swansea. Why the f**k can't you do that every game?

Great Anfield debut goal from Philippe Coutinho. Daniel Sturridge has been one hell of a pick up for the team. Totally changes everything on the field.

Barthelona certainly got rogered without lube today.  Wow.  I've only actually watched them lose two games ever, and both were in this years UCL (Celtic and now AC MIlan).

I was at a pub last night and saw a guy in a "Virginia Cavalry" jersey.   I did a double take 'cause I naturally thought it said "Virginia Cavaliers".    Upon further review  ...   "Virginia Cavalry" it was.     Gotta find one of those  ....    "Virginia Cavalry FC"
