You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

What word?

At least demote him to 7th or 8th inning duties. What a joke. He has been Hanrahan/Ayala-esque over the last few weeks. Ridiculous. Costing us so many precious wins.

I wish he would blog.

+1

That would be epic.  Though I'd imagine the Nats FO would let him be one of the favored five.

Inspired by another asinine thread.  Go.

I think he'll be fine.  Combination of a being a bit off and poor defense behind him has been hurting him.

As funny as I think that is, I'm sure people with slower connections don't like having to load a 3.3 MB gif to see the thread.

Perhaps try this instead?

13 or 15 or however many consecutive saves in a row = "he was due for a couple like this."

Capps is in a slump just like Clippard was earlier in the year. I expect him to come out of it and look good again at some point in time.

Should have I think 18 saves and one blown. I will take those numbers. Not his fault Hohn wasn't paying attention and Guzman was picking daisies like Ferdinand out there.

Perfectly fine.

He was forced to get five outs on Tuesday (Zimm, Hohn), and four yesterday.

While his pitches have been getting hit a bit harder, I don't see anything physically wrong with him... so let him be.

This team needs to address team defense - not closer.

His whip is high for a closer, I think he'll muddle through for a while, but I think storen has the job by August

omg SF would have the best blog ever.  Just whatever is on his mind, we'd all jump to read it in a heartbeat.  Actually GMU should post on his blog too.

I like reading a thread like this from time to time just to see the quotes from assplow.  There's a reason he's one of the idiots I have on ignore.  It's too bad so many of you feed the troll, and 3-4 others, as most of the baseball talk here is fantastic.

Storen's being used in high leverage situations.  I like him right where he is, we need somebody who can get outs when inheriting runners, in key situations.

I hope clippard can fill that role well especially since he seems better suited for going more than 1 inning. For whatever reason, I just don't think of Capps as anything more than a marginal closer- I'd rather see clippard handing it to storen

Capps is fine. Maybe his pitch selection is a bit off but he should've had 2 more saves this series and we should have 2 more wins and 2 less losses. Thanks Hohn and Riggs/Guz.

Either you use Clippard in high leverage situations, or you use him as the 8th inning setup guy, but those are not the same role.  Clippard's been very poor this year in preventing inherited runners from scoring.  I'd rather see Drew be the go to guy in those clutch situations.
