we are hitting like we did early in the season. where was this at over the last few months?

Fixing the bullpen and replacing them with young, quality arms was huge. No more Tavarez, Colome, Hanrahan, etc.

I like what we are building here.

Plus Manny is history. It's early yet, but the team looks more energized under Riggleman.

Then again, we are in last place.
The guys that put us there are long gone except for Kearns, but he's riding pine
The Nats now are not the Nats of April/May

Brewers fans are fortunate in the sense they don't have to go far to drown their sorrows in alcohol.

holy crap. that Nats fan with his daughter they just showed is my barber

The game is replayed on MASN at 8am.  You should freeze the broadcast and present him with a photo to hang in his shop.

Attn Brewers fans: NO REFUNDS!

I'm going to give it a little more time before I say that. It wasn't like Dunn, Zimmerman, Johnson, Willingham, etc. weren't there during the suckage periods of this season.

They'll be doing lots of drowning tonite after receiving a second consecutive ass whipping by the worst team in baseball.

Sounds like Dunn is not that terrible at 1B based on the balls he's picking out of the dirt from how Slowes and Jageler are calling the game.

I agree. I'm not saying Riggleman is our savior because last week we were swept by the cubs under Riggleman. We're just fortunate we pounded Suppan and Villanueva.

This team is working its way up but we are still dead last. I just hope next year isn't another this year. Hopefully we sign Stras, have a good offseason, make some good minor league calls, and have a great ST next year.

Its the waiting game.

Willingham wasn't starting and the offense wasn't the problem. Our bullpen and defense was atrocious

Now is the time to start ADDING pieces to this team instead of an all out fire sale.

I don't want to see an all out fire sale either, but sometimes you have to give a little to get something. I would love to see us get something decent for Nick Johnson, but that probably won't happen.

Or take a screen cap if you have MLB.tv, it's pretty good quality.

Actually you can hit it, Rob.  Hoffman has been hit a lot this year.  I know because I have him on one of my fantasy teams.

I just want us to be competitive next year and not get in a huge hole out of the gate.

we pounded Suppan and Villanueva and tomorrow we face their worst starter, Manny Parra who is 4-8 with a 6.42 ERA.

too bad Mock is on the mound.
