Pad's pull offer to Hoffman off the table.

All time saves leader is on the market.  It will be interesting to see where he ends up.  He's not the closer he used to be but he's still got a couple of years left I think.  He could be a great mentor to a young bullpen...

If we had a fire-baller of a setup man or closer, he could be a good fit here. I'm sure at his age he wants to go to a definite contender, though.

I agree, Petco probably helped him extend his career, but with a fastball in the 80s with a change up as an out pitch, I prefer Hanrahan
