Director of Jurassic Park 4 tweeted "No Feathers" to confirm that the dinosaurs will not have feathers. Many scientists and people are in an uproar in protest of the refusal to do crap right.

I say freak them feathers.

I watched the Captain America: The First Avenger on Netflix last night. It was pretty solid, I'd recommend it if you've got two hours to burn.

yeah good flick.  haven't watched in a while, but have to change that.  so pumped for Iron Man 3.

People groom nowadays. No reason to believe that dinosaurs didn't.

Enjoyed "Olympus Has Fallen".    Lots of action  ....  lots of scenes that are familiar to folks who live in DC.    If you have some familiarity with WH/SS security, it is even more interesting.   Of course, it takes license on some of the scenes.    Many head shots, blood, gore, etc.   ...  a few chuckles even.       The oddest thing for me was the casting.   It took me awhile to get used to it.   In fact, I never did settle into the character who was the President.   He was the same guy who played "Hal Sanderson" in the "Rum Diary".    All they needed was Johnny Depp as the hero.

Sounds like I should check it out sans the wife.  Thanks for the writeup.

The missus and I went.   She's a vet (medical corps) and her dad was a Navy lifer (medic).   So, she's good with such things.   However, it is a boy flick.

My wife is a bureaucrat and works on cultural exchanges.  She does less well with blood and guts and is sad for the bug when I squash them.  Ha.

G.I. Joe 2 was fun. It's not perfect and I could nitpick the hell out of several parts, but overall, it is a solid live-action cartoon.

Argo.  Loved it.  Extremely tense, and the acting was top notch, mainly from the supporting players.

The ending and market scenes had me holding my breath.

Watched Lincoln tonight.  I will forever kick myself for not seeing that when it was in theaters.  An absolutely fantastic film.

I saw it in the theater and I can't wait to watch it again on FIOS on demand.   I just need to find some time when I can get through it with no interruptions.

i watched it with the kids, they were kind of struggling to get into it over the first hour, but they were glued to it from about that point forward.

I liked Lincoln a lot, but didn't love it. The great performances by everyone who wasn't Sally Field canceled out the total weirdness of Sally Field's acting, which seemed to me like a very cunning person pretending to be crazy. And I wasn't a fan of including his death, but then we overheard conversations in the movie theater from people who obviously didn't realize Lincoln was going to get shot - so I guess that's why they had to put it in...

Tommy Lee Jones was terrific.

Red Band for This is the End.

Massive spoilers on what actors, playing themselves, die.

I just saw a movie called "It Happens Every Spring" with Ray Milland about a college professor who is working on a compound to keep insects away from wood. By accident a baseball is dipped in his chemical formula and he discovers that the substance is repelled by wood so he poses as a pitcher and helps St Louis win the pennant.  :lmao:
