I love the National Treasure movies.
 they're really good family movies.

Face Off was fantastic.

It sure was. And hey, Con Air and The Rock are perfect action movies. So good.

Wicker Man is my all-time favorite bad movie.

Lord of War is absolutely fantastic. Cage has a ton of good movies and a ton of bad movies.

This.

both National Treasures. fantastic.

and Frau, there are a LOT worse actors out there.

Nicolas Cage isn't a good actor, but he is an entertaining actor.

haha just b/c i'm a fan doesn't mean i think he's the best actor.  he just fits the role perfectly for some of the films he does.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Don't get me wrong, Nicolas Cage, as an actor, sucks. He's horrible. Beyond horrible. He has exactly one character, and that's it.

Likewise, I'd say he's one of my favorites because he has a quality not found in others, and fits some roles well with his one dimension. He's an actor in the same style as William Shatner. But stuff like Con Air, The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Lords of War or even Next/Kick Ass? He was perfect for. His comic fandom/Superman obsession doesn't hurt in my eyes, either.

Yeah, Cage won't ever be confused with a master thespian, hating on him seems to be a trendy thing to do. Like hating Nickelback. Again, not Led Zeppelin, but not as awful as people would have you think.

Candlebox was the Nickelback of the 90's and I have a renewed appreciation for them.

I also just saw 'the Dark Knight Rises' - I know, I'm a year late.  I thought it had an overtly political and socio-economic message.  And Anne Hathaway was kind of annoying and Marianne Cotillard is  :az:

Candlebox was supposed to open up for Metallica when I saw them back in '94. They left the day before to play Woodstock. Metallica left Pittsburgh that night to play Woodstock the following night. If I'm not mistaken, Alice in Chains was also supposed to be on that tour but Layne Staley had some kind  drug issue... Imagine that.

On to the point, I loved Far Behind and You. Great songs.

there were an awful lot of Paul Rudd movies on yesterday.  At various points I caught a few minutes of Role Models, 40 year old virgin, forgetting sarah marshall, and Anchorman.  The only one of any significance that I didn't see was "I Love You Man."

I watched the Captain America: The First Avenger on Netflix last night. It was pretty solid, I'd recommend it if you've got two hours to burn.

watched Hangover 2 last night.  I really wanted to like it but I couldn't.  Except for Alan tossing the anchor out onto the law at the end I don't think I laughed at all.

Enjoyed "Olympus Has Fallen".    Lots of action  ....  lots of scenes that are familiar to folks who live in DC.    If you have some familiarity with WH/SS security, it is even more interesting.   Of course, it takes license on some of the scenes.    Many head shots, blood, gore, etc.   ...  a few chuckles even.       The oddest thing for me was the casting.   It took me awhile to get used to it.   In fact, I never did settle into the character who was the President.   He was the same guy who played "Hal Sanderson" in the "Rum Diary".    All they needed was Johnny Depp as the hero.
