Damon apparently done in NY.

Quote
I spent some time with Johnny Damon today, and he spoke forcefully about his free agency and his future. I asked him specifically about Scott Boras' comments from a couple of weeks ago, and Damon backed his agent 100 percent. Damon's history shows that he's not going to bend in his free agency. It's how he became a Yankee in the first place. It's why I think he'll be elsewhere, come next season.

2010?

I guess I was being nostalgic.  If they did sign Damon, then that might be the best running line up ever.  R-L-R-L-R-L-S-L-R. Plenty of power.

This of course led me to google Jeff Hamilton, who apparently is a drummer.  I also don't know if he is related to George Hamilton.  I'm thinking Jack got his tattoos in some sort battle with George, sort of the "If you can grossly discolor your skin, so can I" statement.

Jack Hamilton I think was the guy who beaned Tony Conigliaro.  Josh Hamilton was George Hamilton's illegitimate son.  Jeff Hamilton played the drums at Josh's Bar Mitzvah.   Alexander Hamilton was Thomas Jefferson's rival before Teddy Roosevelt.

Hamilton Jordan was so famous he had a country named after him and a college. Jeff Hamilton was a little less famous so he could only be a college team's nickname, the Lord Jeffs (Geoffs).

The arch rival of the Lord Jeffs are the Purple Cows of Williams. There are so many William Hamiltons listed in this wikipedia entry that they named the college after them.

And, of course, when Josh Hamilton was drinking, he saw Purple Cows.

Hamilton Ave is where the Hyattsville metro resides.  It's the closest metro to Franklin's, which has awesome beer.
