Our hitting hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire either.  15 runs in 4 game isn't too good.  11 hits + 2 walks + 1 error should = more than 3 runs.

It might be time to re-think Casto batting 2nd.  He isn't moving anybody around the bases.  In his ABs with runners on so far:

1B
BB
GO
GIDP
FO (2)
K (3)

He's a big reason Zimmerman only has 1 RBI so far.

Agreed, move him down and put Belliard in the #2 hole.

that's fn bs.  if they're gonna call ball 4 for connor jackson and not call a ball on that pitch to zimm, this ump should be shot.

I wouldn't call Kearns our 2nd or even 3rd best hitter.

Kearns isn't one of our two best hitters. He should be, but he isn't

oh well...they lost tonight - but they looked like a real baseball team.  Not like the games #1 & #2.

Until we get any starting pitching and stop getting in a big hole early in the game we won't win many games at all.   :|

The umps contributed but the main cause was Bergmann's atrocious pitching and Lopez not getting that runner home from 3rd with one out.

Tough loss tonight but we didn't get slaughtered.  The Nats continue to pound it out when the chips are down and that is what they need to continue to do.

Starting pitching is key right now and is the reason we lose games.  Once our starters/offense wake up or we deal with the situation, we will have a pretty decent team.

Tough loss but we kept it close.

We'll get'em tomorrow.
