A friend of mine had the best line about that city I've ever heard: "Baltimore is like Cleveland...with a bad paint job."
Ouch. My mom's family is from Cleveland and I have to agree. Cleveland is mostly miserable, but B'more is pretty bad too. Within 3 blocks of Camden is fine, after that, it is gross.
