Good thing we've been playing LaRoche.

Morse has had plenty of ABs this year.

Morse has had plenty of ABs this year.

I wonder if moving him back to the infield will have a positive effect on his offense

Morse has had plenty of ABs this year.
Not nearly as many as any other supposed "starter" besides Zimmerman, for obvious reasons.  Certainly not enough to fully evaluate a player's talent.  He's had a wOBA above 100 every single year he's been in the league.

It's true he's had ABs, but he should have been playing at 1B in place of LaRoche a lot more. They worry about platooning with guys like Nix and Morse, but they sign a check for a guy like LaRoche and he gets a pass.

Because he choked on his chance to play every day and then got injured?

Morse can rest his knee at first

As you probably know, I don't really believe that major league players "choke" as such.  The only different between Morse and, say, Werth, is that we aren't paying Morse very much, so Riggleman yanked him from the lineup immediately.
