Some interesting reading on the Roger Clemens situation over the weekend -- with two threads on Roger--the--truth--dodger here in this forum, I thought it would be best to start a new one to share this info -- sorry if there is any confusion.
But here's the skinny:
First, Clemens' PR team issues a report showing how Roger's late career turnaround is not out of the ordinary when compared to other pitchers. Basically, it compares Clemens' career longevity with Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, and Curt Schilling.

Then, a group of professors from the University of Pennsylvania offered their analysis in the New York Times. In so many words, these men analyzed Roger's career against all pitchers from 1969 on who met certain criteria, and concluded that Roger's late career bloom was quite atypical:
