Uggla is batting .300 (yes) for his last 20 ABs.

With 6 K and 18 LOB while driving in 1, which was his first baserunner driven in since June 6.

this sucks for Olsen not getting the win

hopefully the crappyness at the beginning of the season was just injury
let's see him face an offense other than the Florida hacks before we make that determination.

NatsAddict, who's your closer now. Just wondering since I picked up Meyer in a fantasy league

Given the history, I expected to see a sportsfan "This game is over" post in the 1st inning.  But it's been a pitcher's duel:

Pitcher   IP   PC   H   ER  BB  K
Nolasco  7.0  98   4   2   0   7
Olsen    6.0   78   5   2   0   6

Those same Florida hacks that routinely use our pitching staff as batting practice?

If they score one more run, that's probably game and that's so sad.  >:(

yep but as NatsAddict will attest they are less than stellar against the rest of the league. It's nice to see us doing well against them for a change but it's completely different facing them compared to most other teams.

Well, it's an improvement.  At least Danny miraculously made contact with one.

You know how that goes. sportsfan hates Olsen. If this was one of his boytoys he would be posting about what a great start this is against a team that has owned us and especially since it's his first start back from the DL.

this is a GREAT start (knock on wood) but let's see him face a real offense before we declare him cured.

Probably Meyer tonight, but Fredi has said he wants Nunez in their once available.  Fredi like to play "his boys," such as Jorge Julio and Kevin Gregg, not matter how much they suck or how many games it costs.

Sounds like a bad case of Mannyism.

can't be disappointed with that start by Olsen, coming off the DL.  Three of these starts a month is probably what the Nats envisioned when they traded for him.  I'm not ready to judge if he will be a decent long term option, but he sure looked sharp minus one inning.

If Lindstrom were available, he'd be heading out there.  He's Fredi's bed wench.

Wil needs to stop hitting the ball in the air.

Carpenter is so bad at judging fly balls.
