Balester and Nieves make a great duo. Bally should have a good outing.

Nate Robinson has those intimidating glasses.

Nate Robertson. I thought he had a crappy career, but last year was his first really bad season.

Nate Robinson has those intimidating glasses.

He looks like Daniel Stern's character in Rookie of the Year crossed with Wild Thing from Major League.

He needs one. There's still time left for him to turn the Spring around. It is not how you start, but how you finish. But they will be looking to see some definite improvement.

Bally roughed up in the first giving up a single, double, and a solo shot to Sheffield.  Just one run though.

He had a chance to get out of the inning unscathed. 0 on, 2 out and he gave up the Solo Shot. I can't stand that. Pitchers need to be able to finish innings out once they get 2 outs.

How did he erase the single and double before the solo homer?

He gave up a lead-off single and then got a DP. Then he gave up the HR and then a double and then finally got the third out.

Sorry it was out of order.

Single - DP - HR - Double

Yeah I heard. That's good news although He will likely own us like he has always done since being traded away from here. The rest of the league will sure beat up on him though.

CB walks the lead-off man in the 2nd but gets 3 straight outs (2 Ks) to get out of the inning.

If he can get through the order again unscathed this can still be a good outing for him.  I know he struggled with this last year.

It will be interesting to see if that trend can finally be broken this year with an improved lineup (and diminished skills as Livan ages, isn't he really 42 now?    ;)

I don't know. We've got some new guns he might not be that knowledgeable about, he still throws nothing but garbage, and when I saw him down in ST he got gassed a lot easier than in years past. The Nats have the potential to knock him around.

Tim Redding and Livan in the same Mutts rotation. God they are choking even before the season starts.

 5-1 groundouts to flyouts.  Hopefully he can leave this outting with some confidence.
