WOW that's horrible. Why is the ball carrying so well in these conditions?

The wind must really be whipping up out there - it seemed like Bard's shot in the first was almost a pop up home run ...

Sigh ... not very often ... good thing his bat's been lethal lately ... otherwise he'd be sitting - should fetch a pretty penny at the trade deadline - he would be PERFECT as a DH ....

Ryan is not amused by his throw (or by the almost catch by Dimitri).

DANG IT!!!!  Errors are huge in this game - 2 unearned runs this inning, 1 in the first - flores missing that throw in the plate ... brutal ...

Almost a good throw... Not the third out. 6-3.

Hopefully the weather will hold up and give us a chance to claw back into it.

I had  feeling that was gonna happen. Gonzo was due.

Just as quickly as we tied it up, the Dads go back up by 3.

I say we win 10-8

Zimmerman giveth then taketh away (Belliard's short throw home also cost us a run there).

I swear if Hill and Bergmann don't get their asses back on the field in the next 2 weeks this team is going to go straight to the gutters and will be much closer to 20 games under .500 rather than 10 games under .500.

I personally wasn't expecting a great homestand but hopefully we will fare better against the Pirates. We have a difficult stretch after that when we play interleague games and then Atlanta so June will be tough.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.  We need to win winnable games like this one and the Pittsburgh games because we will be lucky to not get swept in Minnesota and Toronto.

The strike zone appears to be more generous for Wells.

Pittsburgh has some pretty good young players - they've played alot of good teams very tough so far this year ...
