Must we be punished for the 8-game winning streak?  Couldn't the streak just end without the baseball gods seeking retribution?

Win streaks for other teams just end. Why can't we be like that?

Just a few days ago some people were discussing whether Riggleman deserved the manager's position permanently. Some were even dubbing it Rigglemania.  :lmao:  They'll be jumping off that ship soon.

This has to be the lowest rated hour in MASN history. I can't imagine more than 500 people are watching the game.

For some reason I thought you were a Ravens fan.
I am, it's in my sig.  The Skins are playing the Ravens tonight.  I'm a fan of both teams, but when they play against each other, I'm for the Ravens over the Redskins.  A Ravens Redskins superbowl would be great.

I'm not even watching and haven't watched for over an hour.

both of these games make me want to dunk my head in a bowl of boiling water.

I have sigs disabled.

I have a feeling people would volunteer to bring over that bowl.

Gawd I might just listen to music or something. Been away from the game for awhile and afraid to start listening.

Let's face it, Balester is a fringe caliber MLB pitcher. For all the talk or whining about how great our farm system is (and our pitching was supposed to be the strength) we have a ton of back of then rotation starters and by back of the rotation I mean 5th starters.

I see your point. An elite closer should never condescend to pitch in games like this.   :?

it has been disappointing.

we are left with 1 bonafide Major League starter at the current point in time.

Martis and Detwiler got off to good starts with the Nats but then faded. Stammen did the same. Balester, Mock, and Martin have each had like 1 good start apiece and that is it.

A lot of the lesser known guys in AA are doing well (Arnesen, Mandel, Meyers, Atilano).

We have a boat load of relievers in AAA that are on their way to the bigs though. That is a positive.

5 games in 6 days - I'd have rested him more. Seems like he did good though.

Spidernat, lay off the Klej, he's actually our best right handed reliever

Mac good inning but should have thrown all pitches to Gomes down the middle and chanced it.

Quoted for 100% truth, Joe Theismann.

The first half against Baltimore was so eerily similar to last year's squad. Disappointing but predictable.

guess we'll have to wait until bball/hockey get started up in a few months to get to watch a winning team here in D.C. :hang:
